This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee multiple simultaneous Unanet ERP projects, including core implementations and brief add-on initiatives.

• Convert the business and accounting needs of Government Contracting clients into effective system configurations.

• Set up Unanet ERP for invoicing, revenue recognition, labor costing, cost pools, overhead allocations, and project accounting needs.

• Lead or independently execute implementations, optimization, expansion, training, data loading, and various ad hoc customer projects.

• Collect requirements and carry out system configuration tasks, including foundational data loads.

• Assist clients through their initial month-end closing and reconciliation cycle, which includes A/R aging, A/P aging, WIP, unbilled amounts, and bank reconciliations.

• Conduct customer training and facilitate the adoption of configured workflows.

• Validate project scope, assumptions, dependencies, deliverables, and completion criteria.

• Aid in project scoping, effort estimation, and planning.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

• Report on project status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and customer responsibilities.

• Manage workload across multiple customer engagements while achieving utilization targets.

• Work with Senior Consultants on larger implementations and take ownership of defined workstreams.

• Coordinate transitions with Project Managers, Customer Success, Sales, Support, and other internal teams.

• Adhere to Unanet’s milestone-based implementation methodology and Professional Services workflows.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Professional Services processes and implementation practices.

• Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and development opportunities.

• Stay updated on new features and functionalities of Unanet products.

• Complete orientation, product training, peer shadowing, configuration, and training activities within the first 90 days.

• Work towards achieving a billable utilization target.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with ERP or accounting software implementations, business consulting, accounting, or a comparable mix of experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Previous business consulting experience, preferably engaging directly with clients to understand requirements and convert them into actionable solutions.

• Solid understanding of accounting processes and concepts, including invoicing, A/R, A/P, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and project or cost accounting.

• Experience with accounting or ERP systems, translating business needs into system configurations or process recommendations.

• Proficient in handling and manipulating large data sets in Excel.

• Capable of scoping, organizing, and managing multiple workstreams and customer engagements concurrently while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through.

• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to convey accounting, process, and system concepts to diverse audiences.

• Skilled in managing short-term, fixed-scope projects while balancing customer expectations, deadlines, and competing priorities.

• Ability to meet identity verification and security access requirements linked to Unanet’s compliance obligations.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, implementation tasks, and training.

• CPA or another relevant accounting credential.

• Background in working with government contractors or familiarity with government contracting accounting standards.

• Experience implementing or extensively working with government accounting or ERP software, like Deltek, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with project-based accounting environments.

• Experience in scoping, estimating, or executing small implementation, optimization, or add-on projects.
