Construction Project Manager, EV Charging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee assigned projects and coordinate the project team effectively.

• Maintain appropriate communication with the client.

• Manage and control the project's scope, budget, and scheduling objectives.

• Provide support to a key client for several installations of EV charging stations.

• Plan, manage, and coordinate all elements of project schedules, scopes, and costs.

• Conduct value engineering on projects by identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring that material substitutions are equivalent.

• Communicate with and manage stakeholders involved in the project.

• Develop Project Management plans and budget proposals at the beginning of each project.

• Assess project documents and relay client goals and expectations to team members.

• Create and communicate action plans throughout the duration of the project.

• Collaborate with the cost management team on estimates, cost studies, actual job cost evaluations, and budget reconciliations.

• Facilitate permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies.

• Ensure design management adheres to client budgets, scopes, schedules, and design standards.

• Prepare projections for costs and revenues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing the construction of complex electrical or industrial projects.

• Willingness to travel semi-locally a few days each week.

• Proficient in preparing Project Management Plans and budget proposals.

• Experience in developing and executing action plans.

• Demonstrated capability to monitor project scope and recommend necessary adjustments.

• Ability to prepare and communicate projections for costs and revenues.

• Familiarity with the permitting process and the ability to expedite it to meet project timelines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management.

• Extensive experience in electrical projects is highly preferred.

• Preferred certifications include CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, and LEED.
