Configuration Management Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical, analytical, and lifecycle assistance to the Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Division (MEWSD) for U.S. Navy Electromagnetic Warfare, Decoy, and SEWIP systems.

• Support end-to-end activities encompassing engineering, technology transition, installation, logistics, product support, testing and evaluation, sustainment, maintenance, and repairs.

• Integrate logistics, data science, reliability and maintainability engineering, along with operations research to analyze and model intricate systems.

• Enhance operational readiness and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Oversee and manage hardware, software, technical documentation, product releases, and configuration records throughout the system's lifecycle.

• Establish, uphold, and enforce Configuration Management processes, procedures, standards, and controls.

• Maintain configuration records, baselines, inventories, software configurations, and related documentation.

• Assist in configuration identification, status accounting, verification, auditing, reviews, and assessments.

• Coordinate and monitor configuration changes, engineering modifications, product updates, and software releases.

• Collaborate with the Configuration Control Board to assess, document, approve, prioritize, and execute configuration changes.

• Develop procedures for controlled releases of new and modified products.

• Provide guidance on change management and product configuration management to program, engineering, logistics, and technical teams.

• Track and resolve discrepancies, unauthorized alterations, and configuration control challenges.

• Prepare configuration status reports, change records, release documentation, and other CM-related documents.

• Required Clearance: Secret.

• Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience.
