This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee version control procedures utilizing the GitHub repository provided by the USDA.
• Maintain configuration baselines for code, dependencies, infrastructure, and all system components.
• Document software dependencies along with their licenses in accordance with PWS deliverable standards.
• Monitor and manage modifications to deployment scripts, infrastructure configurations, and environment settings.
• Assist in the maintenance of the CI/CD pipeline alongside the Architect/DevOps Engineer.
• Ensure that software remains current, supported, and in compliance with end-of-life policies.
• Keep an inventory of devices and media that store sensitive government information.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation at SDLC milestones and upon contract expiration.
• Support hand-off plans and prepare transition documentation.
• Aid in media sanitization documentation in accordance with NIST SP 800-88 during contract closeout.
• Ensure adherence to Binding Operational Directives and DHS cybersecurity requirements.
• Provide support to Koniag Technology Solutions and a federal client on a business and IT modernization project.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field is required; equivalent work experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in configuration management, IT systems administration, or a related field within federal government projects.
• Experience with configuration management in a federal IT context.
• Proficiency in GitHub and best practices for version control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment methodologies.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and federal records management standards.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation capabilities.
• Proven experience in managing version control systems and software configuration baselines.
• Experience with SDLC documentation and artifact management for federal IT systems.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-88 media sanitization standards and federal records retention policies.
• Experience supporting or participating in ATO processes and security control assessments.
• Knowledge of federal records management regulations, including NARA retention schedules.
• ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Security+, Certified Configuration Manager (CCM), or similar certifications are highly preferred.
• CISSP or CAP (Certified Authorization Professional) certification is a plus.
