Configuration Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee or manage a team of configuration management professionals

• Ensure configuration baseline control throughout the lifecycle of intricate information systems and their software and hardware components

• Facilitate and provide guidance to Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)

• Maintain control over allocated, functional, and physical baselines

• Support audit processes

• Evaluate engineering change requests to determine their impact on configuration baselines and logistics support elements

• Keep configuration control records and technical documentation up to date

• Collaborate closely with quality assurance and management representatives to guarantee accurate and well-documented product baselines

• Draft directives for change authorization and implementation

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold an IT-II security clearance or possess a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)

• Basic Federal Clearance prerequisites include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

• Hold a pertinent certification from a nationally recognized authority

• Proven experience in preparing directives for change authorization and implementation

• Demonstrated experience in providing configuration baseline control throughout the lifecycle of complex information systems, encompassing both software and hardware components

• Capability to facilitate, support, and advise Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)

• Familiarity with SAP environments, including change management, transport management, configuration documentation, release coordination, or system lifecycle support
