This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop progressively intricate compliance tests and year-end packages.
• Assess plan eligibility criteria and identify qualifying participants.
• Evaluate plan allocation terms and compute requested contributions along with forfeiture distributions.
• Execute ADP/ACP nondiscrimination, 415 annual additions, 416 Top Heavy, and 410(b) coverage assessments.
• Carry out self and peer evaluations.
• Draft, review, and submit Forms 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA, and other regulatory documents.
• Reconcile and prepare Form 5500 along with relevant schedules for large-filer plans.
• Support Plan Consultants with inquiries from auditors.
• Maintain a solid understanding of moderately complex plans while expanding knowledge of more advanced plans.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to testing and Form 5500 inquiries.
• Collaborate with various departments as required.
• Guide and mentor team members on complex matters and queries.
• Partner with Managers to develop processes and enforce best practices.
• Conduct asset reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare outside-asset and balance-forward earnings distributions and participant validations.
• Draft plan documents, including Restatements, Amendments, SPDs, SMMs, and Notices.
• Assist with QDRO allocations and corrective earnings assessments.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Associate degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) certification is mandatory.
• Capability to read and interpret retirement adoption agreements, program manuals, government directives, and guidelines.
• Proficiency in writing reports and professional emails/correspondence.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with employees across the organization.
• Advanced mathematical skills, including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Must be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and/or external clients.
• Ability to remain stationary for 75% of the time or more.
• Capacity to move objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
