This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate the examination of laws to ascertain their relevance to the organization.
• Simplify and convey legal requirements to business relationship owners.
• Ensure that regulatory standards are integrated into the organization’s policies, procedures, and/or products.
• Maintain an organized repository of regulations and changes pertinent to the industry and the organization.
• Collaborate with business relationship owners and vendors to provide training, education, mitigate compliance risks, and promote industry best practices.
• Assist in monitoring and auditing work plans while identifying potential non-compliance issues.
• Perform monitoring, auditing, and surveillance of operational functions, reports, and corrective actions as required.
• Work together on compliance-related inquiries, complaints, and incidents.
• Oversee timelines and deliverables, coordinate and evaluate work responses, and analyze and communicate business impacts and potential risks to leadership.
• Aid in the comprehensive regulatory change management process.
• Track evidence of compliance related to the communicated laws.
• Assist with compliance investigations and reviews while managing relevant documentation.
• Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (one year of relevant experience is considered equivalent to one year of college).
• A minimum of one year of experience in internal audit, legal, compliance, insurance, government programs, or related fields.
• Relevant experience may include Health Insurance Compliance, Property & Casualty Insurance Compliance, Health Care Compliance, Law Office, Law Review, or consulting for companies like NILs Insource, Lexis Nexis, West Law, etc.
• Banking Compliance, Higher Education Compliance, Privacy and IT Security Compliance, Manufacturing Compliance, and Biomedical Compliance are not considered relevant experience.
