Compliance Nurse 2 – Long-term Care Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site evaluations of long-term care facilities to assess adherence to state and federal regulations.

• Record survey results utilizing both automated and manual survey methods.

• Conduct surveys independently or collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

• Assess the quality of nursing services provided in nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities.

• Review, oversee, and ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.

• Analyze complex medical scenarios and prepare survey documentation within strict timelines.

• Lead, organize, plan, and manage nursing activities in designated facilities.

• Examine regulatory standards to guide quality improvement initiatives.

• Organize surveys based on facility services, size, and compliance history.

• Collect compliance information through interviews, observations, inspections of the environment and equipment, and review of records.

• Create reports detailing findings and deficiencies supported by evidence.

• Suggest adverse actions when necessary and inform facilities of survey findings.

• Review and supervise facility Plans of Correction.

• Modify survey focus based on client requirements, complaints, and new findings.

• Coordinate activities with relevant agencies.

• Provide training and support for newly hired surveyors.

• Keep up-to-date with federal and state long-term care regulations.

• May act as team lead worker.

• Perform other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution and five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including two (2) years in an administrative or supervisory role, along with a current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse; or eight (8) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or a similar position, with two (2) years in a relevant environment, four (4) years of which must be in a supervisory capacity, and a current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.

• Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license.

• Use of a personal vehicle for work purposes.

• Extensive travel across the state and overnight (90%).

• May require occasional weekend and after-hours work.

• Successful completion of preparatory training.

• Must pass the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within the first 12 months of employment.
