This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated compliance monitoring programs, transaction testing routines, exception reports, control reports, dashboards, and key risk indicators.
• Utilize SQL, Sigma Computing BI Tools, and various analytical instruments to extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze extensive datasets related to servicing, operations, and compliance.
• Create data-driven testing methodologies for FDCPA, Regulation F, UDAAP, FCRA, TCPA, state collection laws, client requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Examine business processes, workflows, operational performance, and control environments to detect compliance risks, operational gaps, control deficiencies, and downstream effects.
• Investigate exceptions, control failures, operational challenges, and data anomalies through root cause analysis and evaluation of business processes.
• Assess corrective actions and remediation efforts via validation testing, follow-up analysis, and continuous monitoring.
• Compile recurring compliance reports, dashboards, executive summaries, board materials, and management reports.
• Track compliance trends, emerging risks, dependencies, and issue statuses; provide recommendations for corrective actions and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Vendor Management, and third-party servicers to identify, evaluate, and address operational risks and control gaps.
• Assist in reporting methodologies, data governance practices, report validation, control documentation, and retention of audit-ready evidence.
• Aid in state licensing maintenance, regulatory filings, licensing reviews, examinations, audits, regulator inquiries, client audits, and quality assurance reviews.
• Manage information requests, document production, examination responses, remediation tracking, and follow-up tasks.
• Contribute to regulatory change management, compliance investigations, updates to policies and procedures, special projects, and process improvement initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Compliance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Experience in analyzing large, complex operational, servicing, compliance, or risk datasets.
• Experience in developing compliance, operational, risk, exception, control, or management reporting.
• Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, root cause analysis, documentation, and communication skills.
• Preferred experience in debt buying, debt collection, receivables management, consumer finance, banking, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Preferred knowledge of FDCPA, Regulation F, UDAAP, FCRA, TCPA, CFPB regulations, bankruptcy requirements, state collection laws, regulatory examinations, remediation management, vendor oversight, and regulatory change management.
• Preferred experience with Sigma Computing BI Tools, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
