Compliance Nurse 2 – Long-term Care Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site evaluations of long-term care facilities to assess adherence to state and federal regulations.

• Record survey results using both automated methods and written documentation.

• Conduct surveys independently or collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Assess the quality of nursing care provided in nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities.

• Review, monitor, and confirm compliance with established program policies and procedures.

• Analyze complex medical scenarios and prepare survey documentation within tight deadlines.

• Lead, plan, organize, and oversee nursing operations in designated facilities.

• Collect compliance data through interviews, observations, environmental inspections, and record reviews.

• Generate reports detailing findings and deficiencies, supported by evidence.

• Suggest adverse actions when necessary and inform facilities about the findings.

• Review and oversee facility Plans of Correction.

• Coordinate activities with relevant agencies.

• Provide training and support to newly hired surveyors.

• Stay updated on federal and state long-term care regulations.

• May serve as the lead worker for the team.

• Execute other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution and five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including two (2) years in an administrative or supervisory role, along with a current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse; or eight (8) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or in a comparable position, including two (2) years in a relevant environment, four (4) years as a supervisor, and a current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.

• Valid Georgia driver’s license.

• Use of a personal vehicle for work purposes.

• Significant statewide and overnight travel (90%).

• Occasional weekend and after-hours work may be necessary.

• Successful completion of preparatory training.

• Successful completion of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within the initial 12 months of employment.
