This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise, guide, and assist a team of Compliance professionals.
• Evaluate and authorize applicant, move-in, transfer, and recertification files.
• Execute and manage both on-site and remote compliance audits.
• Detect deficiencies, document findings, and facilitate corrective actions and resolutions.
• Prepare and send responses to agency audits, Management and Occupancy Reviews, agency inquiries, and regulatory requests.
• Oversee lease-ups, occupancy, waitlists, Limited Admission Plans, EIV master binders, and other compliance obligations.
• Analyze site-level data, regulatory documents, program contracts, and property-specific information.
• Maintain compliance forms, documentation, internal resources, procedures, and departmental workflows.
• Validate compliance forms, system settings, and site assignments within RealPage OneSite and similar software systems.
• Collaborate with the Training team to create and deliver compliance training sessions.
• Inform property teams and internal stakeholders about regulatory or process changes.
• Stay updated on affordable housing regulations and provide guidance through weekly office hours and problem-solving assistance.
• A minimum of 8 years of direct experience in affordable housing compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of LIHTC and HUD programs; familiarity with PBRA and HOME is highly preferred.
• COS or TCS certification is mandatory; HCCP certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in managing and developing team members.
• Significant experience in collaborating with state agencies, addressing audits and regulatory inquiries, and rectifying compliance deficiencies.
• Strong understanding of HUD 4350.3, EIV, LIHTC income limits and rent calculations, Fair Housing, IRS 8823 requirements, Reasonable Accommodation processes, and other relevant affordable housing regulations.
• Familiarity with RealPage OneSite or a comparable property management system.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, attention to detail, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 2–3 days at a time every other month, with occasional overnight travel as required.
