Compliance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage the integration and onboarding processes for external partners.

• Implement comprehensive onboarding and due diligence procedures for retail users and corporate clients.

• Validate documentation, corporate structures, and identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs).

• Perform background checks and screenings against OFAC, UN, and EU sanctions lists, PEPs, and adverse media.

• Oversee enhanced due diligence investigations for high-risk clients and intricate corporate structures.

• Compile risk assessment reports for approval by senior management.

• Develop, review, and uphold AML/CFT policies, KYC/KYB manuals, and SOPs in accordance with Brazilian regulations and international standards.

• Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, sampling, and process evidence.

• Monitor onboarding controls and suggest enhancements to the Compliance Officer.

• Keep abreast of local and international regulatory developments from BACEN, CVM, and COAF.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.

• More than 2 years of experience in Compliance, AML/CFT, or Risk Management within Financial Institutions, Payment Institutions (IPs), Fintechs, or Crypto/VASPs.

• Extensive understanding of KYC and KYB processes.

• Familiarity with background check tools and watchlists, including World-Check, LexisNexis, Neoway, or upLexis.

• Capability to draft clear and technical policies and SOPs.

• Proficient in advanced English.

• Native or Fluent in Portuguese.

• Possess an analytical mindset, be an organized worker, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and uphold high ethical standards.
