Compliance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Investigate atypical transaction activities to pinpoint fraud and systematically eliminate unwanted actions from the platform.

• Assist in onboarding new clients and conduct regular reviews of existing clients to ensure compliance with KYC and KYB regulations.

• Analyze customer profiles that may be linked to money laundering or fraudulent activities.

• Enhance processes and procedures related to fraud detection, money laundering, KYC/KYB, terrorist financing, and OFAC compliance.

• Monitor internal reporting to guarantee customer adherence to user agreement terms and regulatory obligations.

• Ensure that compliance policies and procedures are uniformly applied across the organization.

• Review referrals from law enforcement agencies and other financial institutions.

• Share expertise across compliance, customer support, and sales operations teams.

• Assist with various ad-hoc projects as needed.

• Support the Payments business line and report directly to the Director of Compliance & Risk Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in investigating unusual activity and submitting regulatory reports pertaining to AML, CTF, and fraud investigations.

• Solid understanding of KYC/KYB, AML, and fraud regulations within a payments or fintech setting.

• Experience in identifying and analyzing patterns in transactional behavior and escalating issues for risk management.

• Ability to uphold compliance standards while fostering a positive customer experience.

• Experience in contributing to the continuous development of compliance programs and processes.

• Direct experience in the payments, fintech, or financial services sectors.

• A cellphone or personal device to receive MFA (multi-factor authentication) texts or calls.

• Sufficient internet connection, with a minimum download speed of 10Mbps.
