This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the subcontract and any subsequent modifications, providing advice on compliance obligations and flow-down requirements.

• Offer guidance on invoicing, budget monitoring, and financial reporting practices to ensure alignment with federal contracting and US defense standards.

• Identify compliance risks that may arise from Zinc Network’s role as a US federal subcontractor and suggest practical mitigations.

• Provide counsel on labor category classification, timekeeping, and other administrative requirements associated with federal contracting.

• Assist the Program Lead and finance team in preparing for and addressing compliance-related inquiries from the prime contractor or government client, including DCAA/DCMA-related communications.

• Raise significant compliance risks to the attention of the Program Lead and Zinc leadership.

• Participate in meetings with the prime contractor or government client as needed to deliver specialized compliance advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

• Extensive professional experience in US federal contracting compliance, preferably including subcontract administration, flow-down compliance, and/or federal invoicing and budget practices.

• Proficient understanding of relevant FAR/DFARS requirements and DCAA/DCMA processes.

• Capability to function as an independent advisor on a part-time, as-needed basis without close supervision.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey compliance requirements into practical guidance for a non-specialist audience.

• Completion of background checks pertinent to the country of engagement, including employment verification, sexual offender registry checks where applicable, identity confirmation, and anti-terrorism vetting.

• Disclosure of any prior disciplinary actions resulting from substantiated safeguarding or workplace investigations if offered an engagement.
