This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Identify and familiarize yourself with accounts within the designated market segment.
• Pursue and secure assigned accounts and territories to enhance hotel revenue.
• Provide support for Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach and The Royal Lahaina Resort in Maui.
• Conduct professional hotel site inspections for clients.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services, and Reservations.
• Plan and implement outside sales calls, industry trade shows, and customer events.
• Research, solicit, and generate new business leads via database research and proactive sales initiatives.
• Track top-account performance and market trends.
• Keep in regular contact with current accounts through the Account Coverage Program.
• Host clients for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections.
• Manage and negotiate sales transactions through successful closures.
• Utilize the computerized sales management system to produce reports, input business data, reserve space, and develop accounts.
• Attend Highgate Hotel Business Review meetings as well as mandatory hotel meetings and training sessions.
• Operate within the established sales expense budget.
• Participate in scheduled M.O.D. and office coverage.
• Prepare necessary reports and complete month-end account production tracking.
• Create networking opportunities through community and professional associations.
• Review meeting planner evaluations and ensure proper follow-up on any issues.
• Achieve or surpass sales and lead-generation objectives.
• Uphold high standards of guest and employee service, appearance, confidentiality, and hotel safety.
• Perform additional duties as requested by management.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive hotel group sales experience.
• Position must be remote in AZ or TX; travel is required.
• Must possess a driver's license in the relevant state.
• Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing software.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests.
• Effective listening skills, with the ability to understand and clarify concerns.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Skilled in handling, anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems.
• Ability to comprehend and evaluate complex information and data.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
