Compensation & Classification Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead or assist in classification and compensation studies for special districts and solid waste/utility authorities.

• Create peer groups that encompass special districts, public works, and similar operating agencies.

• Analyze roles related to craft, operators, scale-house, environmental, professional, and management positions.

• Assess premiums, certifications, shift differentials, and overall compensation practices.

• Aid in job classification audits, rating manuals, salary ranges, and implementation cost models.

• Develop clear reports and presentations for boards and management, including joint studies across multiple districts when required.

• Provide specialized technical content about special districts for AlphaGov proposals and scopes of work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in compensation, classification, or total-rewards consulting (or HR compensation in special districts).

• Direct experience conducting studies for solid waste, sanitary, irrigation, water/wastewater, or similar special districts.

• Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills for stakeholders.

• Proficient in advanced Excel or similar tools.
