Communications and Outreach Intern II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Compose and distribute press releases

• Create a list of local and regional media contacts

• Investigate companies, foundations, and community organizations that could serve as sponsors

• Write outreach emails and follow up with potential sponsors and partners

• Monitor outreach efforts and responses using a sponsorship tracker

• Develop presentation materials and one-pagers for schools and hospitals

• Assist the organization in sharing its narrative and establishing partnerships with schools, pediatric units, and healthcare facilities

• Independently draft and manage a segment of the sponsor tracker

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled Post University student with a Federal Work-Study award

• Excellent writing and communication abilities

• Comfortable with professional email correspondence

• Dependable, organized, and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines

• Intern II: Completed coursework in a relevant field or previous experience in communications, social media, or outreach

• Preferred: Coursework in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or business

• Preferred: Familiarity with social media, Canva, or Google Workspace

• Preferred: A keen interest in mental health, education, or nonprofit work
