Communications and Outreach Intern I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Create and distribute press releases

• Compile a list of local and regional media contacts

• Investigate companies, foundations, and community organizations that could serve as sponsors

• Compose outreach emails and follow-up messages to potential sponsors and partners

• Monitor outreach efforts and responses in a sponsorship tracking system

• Assist in preparing presentation materials and one-pagers for educational institutions and hospitals

• Communicate The Soulful Forest Inc.'s mission and foster partnerships with schools, pediatric units, and healthcare facilities

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled Post University student with a Federal Work-Study award

• Excellent writing and communication abilities

• Comfortable with professional email outreach

• Dependable, organized, and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines

• Preferred: Coursework in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or business

• Preferred: Experience with social media, Canva, or Google Workspace

• Preferred: Interest in mental health, education, or nonprofit sectors
