Commissioning Agent, Electrical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver commissioning services through a combination of off-site development activities and on-site physical verification tasks.

• Utilize cloud-based commissioning technologies and software applications.

• Create comprehensive functional performance testing procedures.

• Participate in commissioning and associated meetings, lead discussions, and document meeting minutes.

• Execute on-site commissioning tasks, including the completion of commissioning forms and identification of deficiencies.

• Act as the representative for VSC Group during commissioning site meetings.

• Provide updates on progress status.

• Identify items that need to be completed by contractors.

• Address inquiries from contractors and client/owner representatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of an Electrical Engineering degree or a diploma/degree in a related Technologist or Technician field.

• More than 2 years of relevant experience in MEP construction, commissioning, and project management.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Project.

• Capability to function effectively within a team environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to respond thoughtfully and effectively in sensitive situations.

• Competence in meeting tight deadlines.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Willingness to travel throughout Alberta for commissioning services.

• Frequent travel is necessary.
