Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist Twilio’s Go-to-Market Sales team as a member of the commercial legal department.

• Collaborate with the enterprise sales team throughout the entire lifecycle of intricate enterprise sales agreements.

• Review, negotiate, draft, and oversee a diverse array of legal contracts.

• Provide guidance to internal clients regarding contract interpretation and negotiation.

• Ensure compliance policies are enforced to safeguard the company from risk.

• Adhere to relevant local laws and regulations while aligning work with Twilio’s core values.

• Grasp customer and internal-client viewpoints to resolve issues and tackle challenges.

• Assess and prioritize matters that require attention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent academic qualifications and a proven track record of success as a legal professional.

• Must be admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the relevant state or province.

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial transactions, including a minimum of 3 years negotiating complex technology transactions such as SaaS.

• Experience in supporting a large sales organization.

• Proficient in structuring, drafting, and negotiating a high volume and wide variety of commercial contracts, including Master Services Agreements, Professional Services Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements.

• Capable of providing entrepreneurial, pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice that balances legal risks with business rewards.

• Ability to clarify complex legal concepts for non-lawyers.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Skilled at managing a heavy workload and delivering results efficiently.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and communicating in Spanish is preferred.
