Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and negotiate commercial contracts for organizations such as Cursor, Ramp, and Cognition.

• Manage Crosby’s AI tools related to contracts while applying professional judgment.

• Take full responsibility for contract results and ensure exceptional client experiences.

• Work closely with Crosby's legal team to interpret contract terms and pinpoint anomalies and edge cases.

• Recognize inefficiencies in the review process and recurring patterns, transforming them into process enhancements.

• Standardize and formalize recurring contract types and playbooks.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance the delivery of legal services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state.

• Holds an Australian practicing certificate, or foreign lawyer registration (or eligibility for registration).

• Must have Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa that allows unrestricted work rights; sponsorship is not available.

• At least 4 years of experience reviewing U.S. commercial contracts in private practice or in-house settings.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong commercial judgment.

• High standards for quality of work.

• Adaptability to change and fast-paced, sometimes uncertain environments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Interest in or experience with the application of AI in legal practice.
