Commercial Contracts Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic legal advisor to APAC sales teams.

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, focusing mainly on go-to-market and sales transactions, including contracts for enterprise customers.

• Assist in negotiating complex technology deals across APAC organizations, ranging from SMBs to large enterprises.

• Offer practical legal guidance to Sales and GTM teams to enhance deal velocity.

• Provide counsel on legal and regulatory aspects related to the responsible deployment of AI technologies in APAC.

• Develop and sustain a commercial legal infrastructure, which includes contract templates and playbooks.

• Enhance commercial legal processes.

• Identify legal risks and escalate them appropriately while facilitating business momentum.

• Keep abreast of legal developments impacting AI technologies.

• Cultivate relationships with APAC clients, regulatory agencies, and industry partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including enterprise customer contracts or SaaS agreements.

• Familiarity with commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, or technology transactions.

• Exceptional legal writing skills and the ability to convey legal concepts to non-lawyer audiences.

• In-house experience at prominent technology firms with operations in APAC.

• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or other emerging technologies in commercial settings.

• Experience in supporting sales teams across a variety of client segments during deal negotiations.

• Proficiency in navigating multi-stakeholder agreements that involve technical and policy issues.

• A keen interest in AI technology and policy, with a dedication to responsible AI development.

• A collaborative, low-ego mindset and readiness to contribute wherever necessary.
