Commerce Writer, Home News & Deals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Generate affiliate revenue by pitching and composing one to two shopping articles daily.

• Utilize data and analytics to inspire and direct content strategies.

• Collaborate with writers, editors, and various teams within People Inc.

• Monitor TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms for commerce opportunities, including trending products.

• Create content within the CMS.

• Reach out to professionals for background information and quotes.

• Participate in bi-weekly editorial meetings and share pertinent insights with the Home News & Deals team.

• Analyze content performance using analytical tools.

• Complete administrative duties and engage in team meetings.

• Cover timely shopping content related to home, fashion, and lifestyle for People Inc. home brands.

• Writers must reside in the U.S.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Familiarity with the home and lifestyle sector.

• A strong passion for writing, shopping, and discovering products to recommend.

• Proficiency in SEO best practices.

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to adhere to a brand’s voice, values, and style.

• Capability to work independently while integrating feedback from various stakeholders.

• Proficient in brainstorming, sourcing, and conducting expert interviews for content proposals.

• Detail-oriented and focused on meeting deadlines.

• Flexibility to adapt as new initiatives and directives emerge.

• Comfort working remotely or living close to a People Inc. office.

• E-Verify employment authorization verification is applicable for newly hired employees.
