This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.
• Design, develop, and implement enterprise data governance and metadata management solutions utilizing the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
• Configure, customize, and enhance the functionalities of Collibra DGC, Edge, and related features.
• Set up and manage communities, domains, asset types, attributes, relationships, responsibilities, and governance operating models.
• Create and maintain business glossaries, data catalogs, metadata models, and governance assets.
• Design, develop, and support Collibra workflows, including those based on BPMN for workflow automation.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Collibra and Databricks for metadata ingestion, cataloging, governance, and lineage.
• Assist with the ingestion and governance of Databricks data assets and implement comprehensive data lineage.
• Create integrations with enterprise data sources and applications through REST APIs, Edge, scripting, and integration frameworks.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into Collibra solutions in collaboration with business SMEs, data owners, stewards, architects, and engineering teams.
• Support data quality, stewardship, issue management, policy management, and governance lifecycle processes.
• Develop scripts and utilities using Python, Java, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Troubleshoot workflows, integrations, metadata ingestion jobs, lineage, and platform-related issues.
• Assist with testing, deployments, upgrades, security configurations, and production support.
• Create governance reports, dashboards, metrics, and operational monitoring.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and release activities.
• Identify opportunities to enhance governance processes through automation and the effective use of Collibra capabilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen as per contract stipulations.
• Must be eligible to obtain and sustain a position of Public Trust according to contract requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 5 years of practical experience in developing, configuring, and implementing solutions with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
• Strong hands-on experience with Collibra DGC and Collibra Edge.
• Proficiency in configuring Collibra communities, domains, assets, relationships, attributes, roles, and responsibilities.
• Experience in developing and supporting Collibra workflows and BPMN-based automation.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, business glossaries, data lineage, and data stewardship.
• Experience in integrating Collibra with databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications via REST APIs and integration frameworks.
• Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms, including schemas, tables, metadata, and lineage.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and concepts related to relational/data platforms.
• Proficient in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or Java.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience in supporting Collibra solutions within a production enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
