CNC Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.

• Utilize online technical documents, manuals, and vendor resources to investigate machine-related issues.

• Accurately complete and submit documentation to both the office and customers regarding machine problems, repairs, and installations.

• Advocate for and execute preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.

• Provide after-sales technical support and training.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the machine tool industry and the product lines represented by the company.

• Carry out related duties as necessary.

• Report directly to the Service Manager.

• Start each day from home and travel to customer sites across a regional territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical repair or engineering is preferred.

• Background in CNC repair is advantageous.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and schematics is mandatory.

• Experience with Microsoft Office or similar software is beneficial.

• Proficient in using a laptop, smartphone, and various software applications.

• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation abilities.

• Capability to regularly lift 40–50 pounds.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel frequently throughout a regional territory.

• Must be highly mobile and able to access all areas of customer premises.

• Ability to concentrate and stay focused while managing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.

• Capacity to sit for extended periods.

• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, and lift moderate-to-heavyweight materials up to 50 pounds with assistance from equipment or other personnel.

• Frequent use of hands and arms is required.

• Capability to work responsibly and professionally in dynamic job sites.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended durations.

• Willingness to work in confined spaces or awkward positions, including inside equipment and elevated areas.

• Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills are essential.

• Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions.

• Must consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
