CMS Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create, tailor, manage, and update websites utilizing WordPress, Shopify, Wix, or other CMS platforms.

• Design responsive, mobile-optimized webpages based on designs, wireframes, or pre-existing layouts.

• Modify WordPress themes, plugins, page builders, as well as Shopify themes, storefronts, or Wix sites.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to broken layouts, plugins, apps, integrations, forms, and other website elements.

• Execute website enhancements aimed at improving performance, loading speed, usability, and reliability.

• Apply best practices for technical and on-page SEO.

• Integrate third-party tools, analytics platforms, forms, marketing tools, and various web services.

• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other team members to transform concepts into operational webpages.

• Oversee website content and functionality while ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience.

• Proactively identify technical problems and propose effective solutions.

• Independently manage multiple web development tasks while adhering to deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in CMS or web development.

• Strong practical experience with at least one of the following: WordPress, Shopify, or Wix.

• Proficient in WordPress with themes, plugins, page builders, customizations, and maintenance, or proficient in Shopify with themes, storefront customization, e-commerce features, and ideally Liquid, or proficient in Wix with website builds, customization, responsive layouts, and ongoing maintenance.

• Solid skills in HTML and CSS.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript.

• Proven track record of building and maintaining responsive, mobile-friendly websites.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience in optimizing website performance and page speed.

• Understanding of technical and on-page SEO principles.

• Experience in converting designs or wireframes into functional webpages.

• Familiarity with third-party integrations, forms, analytics, and marketing tools.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• Excellent professional communication skills in English.

• Comfortable working remotely within distributed teams.

• Nice to have: PHP and WordPress development experience; Liquid and Shopify development experience; WooCommerce or broader e-commerce experience; Git/GitHub experience; knowledge of hosting, domain, DNS, and website deployment; Google Analytics / GA4 experience; experience in Figma-to-web implementation; API integrations; experience in a digital, web development, or marketing agency environment.
