Cloud Solutions Architect, AWS Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide technical support for customer interactions, articulating complex architectural concepts in a manner that is understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with business, pre-sales, and delivery teams to grasp customer technical needs and convert them into practical, well-designed technical solutions that ensure a balance of security, compliance, performance, scalability, and supportability.

• Strategically plan, configure, and support cloud-based deployment of Genedata products within client environments, ensuring alignment with infrastructure, security, and operational standards.

• Participate in IT infrastructure validation efforts at customer locations, ensuring that solution designs comply with regulatory, internal, and client standards.

• Assist the Operational IT and Product teams in designing, developing, and enhancing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures for running Genedata applications, with a strong emphasis on AWS infrastructure, resilience, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, systems engineering, or related fields.

• Solid hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.

• Demonstrated experience in a service or technical communications position, including the ability to evaluate complex enterprise IT settings and create clear architecture, network, and deployment diagrams that effectively convey technical solutions.

• Practical experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation in distributed production settings, including scripting, configuration management, CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Extensive hands-on experience in designing and deploying applications on AWS, covering essential infrastructure services such as networking, compute, storage, identity and access management, and security; AWS certification is highly preferred.
