Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Adhere to Secur-Serv's requirements, policies, procedures, and management directives.

• Offer technical expertise, strategic advice, and hands-on assistance for client cloud security solutions and integrations.

• Act as a technical liaison among customers, sales teams, engineering, and technical support.

• Evaluate customer environments, business needs, and security roadmaps.

• Formulate and propose cloud security strategies and solutions.

• Configure, deploy, manage, and sustain cloud security platforms.

• Lead the optimization, migration, and setup of security policies, rules, and objects into Prisma Cloud.

• Execute testing, troubleshooting, and validation of security platform migrations and integrations.

• Organize and implement production cutovers with minimal disruptions.

• Provide technical advice on software updates, platform upgrades, and enhancements to security code.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on application and threat signatures.

• Partner with the Technical Assistance Center to investigate and resolve intricate technical challenges and customer support cases.

• Identify opportunities for enhancing security configurations, system integrations, and customers’ cloud security postures.

• Maintain technical documentation for configurations, implementations, migrations, and troubleshooting.

• Travel as necessary for customer engagements, implementations, and project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and professional experience.

• At least three years of experience in leading or implementing security solutions within large-scale enterprise environments.

• Practical experience in deploying, configuring, managing, and maintaining Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud (formerly RedLock/Twistlock).

• Experience in a Solutions Architect position, preferably with a background in DevOps engineering and cloud security architecture.

• Capability to present technical solutions, recommendations, and security strategies to executive leadership, customers, and technical stakeholders.

• Strong consulting abilities and the capacity to assess customer requirements and business objectives.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including cloud infrastructure, architecture, and security controls.

• Beginner-level or higher experience with Python scripting.

• Preference for experience in Python and Prisma Cloud RQL.

• Intermediate to advanced expertise with Docker and Kubernetes, particularly in container security and orchestration.

• Familiarity with automation technologies and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to incorporate security practices within DevOps workflows.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing demands, and maintain effectiveness in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across various teams.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship.

• Must be willing to undergo post-offer background checks and drug screenings.

• Must not be listed on the HHS Office of Inspector General List of Excluded Individuals/Entities.
