This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Design, develop, and implement cloud security solutions to safeguard Leidos' cloud-based systems, networks, and information assets.
• Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert in cloud security services and technologies.
• Offer expert advice on cloud security architectures, shared responsibility models, and the security capabilities of cloud service providers.
• Collaborate with global teams in cloud engineering, infrastructure, and cyber security to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Work alongside Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS platform teams to enhance security controls and features.
• Support operational cloud security services to ensure their effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with business needs.
• Partner with Security Operations and Incident Response teams in investigations, threat detection, and remediation efforts.
• Create technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation guides, standards, and operational procedures.
• Identify automation opportunities for security processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of cloud security roadmaps and strategic initiatives that strengthen Leidos' global cyber security posture.
• Must be an Australian citizen.
• Must possess at least a Baseline security clearance, with the ability to obtain NV1 security clearance.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in implementing, supporting, and monitoring enterprise cloud security technologies across Azure, AWS, or other major cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security services, cloud-native security controls, and shared responsibility models.
• Familiarity with identity and access management technologies, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and Okta.
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and secure network design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID governance, Conditional Access, and MFA is advantageous.
• Knowledge of CASB, cloud governance, logging, monitoring, and enterprise-scale cloud security architecture is a plus.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, scripting, or automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or Python is advantageous.
• Experience in multi-cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, is a bonus.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, Cybersecurity Architect, AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or CISSP are highly regarded.
