Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure utilizing AWS CDK, with a focus on security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Implement the AWS Well-Architected Framework addressing security, reliability, operations, performance, and cost considerations.

• Develop reusable CDK constructs, infrastructure standards, and established best practices.

• Create platform capabilities that prioritize security by default for seamless independent service development, deployment, and operations.

• Enhance reliability practices through Service Level Objectives (SLOs), runbooks, incident management tools, and post-incident improvement strategies.

• Oversee cloud expenditure through tagging, budget management, usage forecasting, anomaly detection, and waste reduction.

• Assist developers in adopting infrastructure best practices, designing CI/CD pipelines, and understanding DevSecOps fundamentals.

• Participate in compliance and audit efforts consistent with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST CSF standards.

• Collaborate with security experts, AWS solution architects, and auditors as required.

• Work alongside teams developing services primarily in Golang and TypeScript, as well as React, React Native, Python, and PHP.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, AWS cloud, or platform engineering.

• Practical experience in building and managing workloads on AWS, including Infrastructure as Code.

• Strong preference for experience with AWS CDK in any programming language.

• Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its principles.

• A platform engineering mindset focused on reusable functionalities, self-service, and automation.

• Proven history of exceptional academic performance in STEM/Computer Science or success in open-source projects or a relevant portfolio.

• Active engagement with AI and agent-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining sound engineering judgment and high-quality standards.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Goal-oriented with aspirations for career advancement.

• Working hours should significantly overlap with the team's working hours in Copenhagen.

• Experience in fintech or other regulated industries is advantageous.
