Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, oversee, administer, and automate comprehensive enterprise cloud infrastructure services and solutions.

• Develop cloud solutions for both new and migrated applications in accordance with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Construct and sustain CI/CD pipelines for the delivery of software and infrastructure deployment.

• Create and manage golden AMIs, implement patch management solutions, and develop infrastructure monitoring capabilities.

• Assess cloud security controls and suggest enhancements to improve security posture and compliance.

• Collaborate with technology teams on cloud transformation projects and the adoption of Infrastructure as Code.

• Ensure that cloud environments incorporate governance, controls, auditing, and compliance mechanisms.

• Define and execute operational capabilities to monitor, manage, and optimize production environments.

• Identify operational risks and opportunities for improvement to sustain highly available, fault-tolerant systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient scripting and automation skills in Python (preferred), Bash, or PowerShell.

• Practical experience with a wide range of AWS services and cloud-native technologies.

• Familiarity with AWS networking and security services, including IAM, KMS, Route 53 (DNS), Load Balancers, Shield, WAF, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.

• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices.

• Experience in developing and maintaining DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.

• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, governance, monitoring, and operational best practices.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to collaborate efficiently across technical teams and articulate complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• AWS Certification and/or Azure Certification.

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, IT systems administration, network operations, software development/support, consulting, architecture, or related technology fields.

• More than 3 years of experience writing production-grade code.

• At least 3 years of experience automating infrastructure deployments using Terraform.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and delivering secure AWS cloud solutions within a multi-account environment.

• At least 3 years of experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and GitHub (including GitHub Actions).

• Experience with core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, and Lambda.

• Proven experience in creating and managing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud environments.
