Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design secure and resilient landing zones, network patterns, identity boundaries, shared services, and workload architectures.

• Implement cloud infrastructure using reviewed, reusable infrastructure-as-code and automated configurations.

• Establish monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, patching, and operational runbooks.

• Apply principles of least privilege, encryption, segmentation, secrets management, and cloud security controls.

• Produce architecture decisions, diagrams, implementation standards, and technical documentation suitable for customers.

• Lead technical reviews and address high-impact incidents.

• Mentor engineers across various programs.

• Architect, implement, secure, and optimize enterprise cloud environments utilized by Centex Technologies programs and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience.

• Seven or more years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering, including senior ownership of production cloud environments.

• Advanced understanding of cloud networking, identity, security, automation, resiliency, observability, and cost management.

• Ability to convert requirements into defensible architecture and implementation decisions.

• Employment is subject to necessary background screening.

• Some roles may require the capability to obtain and maintain a public trust determination or security clearance.

• Preferred: Experience supporting federal, defense, regulated, or FedRAMP-aligned environments.

• Preferred: AWS Professional/Specialty, Azure Expert, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar certification.

• Preferred: Experience with multi-account or multi-subscription governance and hybrid-cloud integration.
