This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, implement, enhance, and automate DevOps strategies for the development, testing, release, and deployment of web applications and services on AWS.
• Provision and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure utilizing CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Ensure uniformity across both non-production and production environments.
• Oversee AWS infrastructure to align with KPIs related to scalability, reliability, availability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor and resolve issues related to pipelines, infrastructure, and application performance.
• Optimize AWS resource use, compute auto-scaling, and database queries.
• Implement AWS IAM policies, ensuring least-privilege access, and establish network isolation through VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
• Develop and maintain automated backup protocols for databases and persistent storage solutions.
• Define, document, and test Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) for disaster recovery planning and simulations.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and client operations teams to enhance the software development lifecycle.
• Stay updated on AWS Cloud DevOps features.
• Engage with colleagues and client teams across the EU (UK and Portugal) and Brazil.
• Take part in peer reviews, agile ceremonies, and sprint-end demonstrations for client stakeholders.
• Proven experience with AWS Cloud Stack management (Lambda, EC2, S3, VPC, Route53, CloudFront, etc.).
• Strong expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools, such as Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD processes and tools, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Proficient scripting skills in Python or Bash for infrastructure automation and task orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS backup solutions, KMS encryption, snapshots, and secret management.
• Practical experience with observability tools, including logging, metric gathering, alerts, and APM tools like AWS CloudWatch and Grafana.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and routing tables.
• Excellent analytical abilities and a proactive attitude towards infrastructure challenges.
• Experience working within project management/agile delivery methodologies as part of a larger team.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in English.
• Experience with evaluation-driven CI/CD pipelines for assessing AI agent outputs prior to code merging is a plus.
• Knowledge of secure agent sandboxing, isolated runtime environments, and scoped agent execution blast radius is a plus.
• Familiarity with identity management services like Auth0 and Azure Entra ID is a plus.
• Experience with best practices in security and compliance is a plus.
• Experience in creating performance and benchmarking scripts is a plus.
• Relevant AWS or DevOps certifications are a plus.
