This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assume both technical and commercial leadership for the cloud and data solution division.
• Act as the executive technical lead for MGT’s most significant, intricate, and strategic initiatives from the initial customer engagement to final closure.
• Conduct customer presentations, executive briefings, and product demonstrations, either on-site or virtually.
• Provide architect-level guidance on large-scale, complex projects, ensuring feasibility in design, integration, and delivery.
• Oversee high-priority and essential deals, address technical objections, and facilitate the closure of opportunities.
• Assist the deals desk with discounting, margin escalations, and pricing escalations for strategic initiatives.
• Ensure technical consistency during project initiation and guarantee a smooth transition to delivery.
• Refine and package offerings based on market needs, OEM roadmaps, and delivery capabilities.
• Manage pricing and packaging practices tailored to different verticals, regions, and customer sizes.
• Define and convey the practice's roadmap and technical vision.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with OEMs and vendors, including aligning roadmaps, participating in programs, and establishing escalation paths.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage subcontractors to enhance delivery capabilities.
• Develop and provide presales enablement materials, such as solution modes, demonstration standards, and reference architectures.
• Offer regional sales support and serve as the escalation point for technical and commercial inquiries.
• Manage relevant procurement vehicles and educate the field on their application.
• Integrate AI into scoping, design, estimating, and proposal-generation processes.
• Monitor and report on service delivery capabilities, identifying gaps in skills, staffing, and tools.
• Oversee OEM certification tracking and uphold partner-level requirements and customer-facing credentials.
• Provide monthly performance updates detailing wins, sales performance, adoption, and collaboration with customer success teams.
• Create technically accurate, complete, and timely designs, estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation.
• Meet customer specifications, deadlines, quality benchmarks, and profitability goals.
• Identify risks associated with scope, compatibility, pricing, scheduling, and delivery prior to commitment.
• Build relationships with customers, sales teams, partners, and delivery resources.
• Maintain organized records and clearly communicate status updates and issues.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least ten (10) years of hands-on experience in the relevant technology field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, or a similar role.
• Proven track record of leading technical strategies for large, complex projects.
• Demonstrated ability to design and price large-scale solutions, including both budgetary and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience in defining, pricing, or packaging offerings for a technology practice or portfolio.
• Background in managing OEM/vendor relationships and subcontractor resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to translate customer requirements into a bill of materials (BOM) and system design.
• Proficient in presenting credibly to executive and C-level audiences on both technical and financial aspects.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to emerging technologies.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
• Familiarity with server architectures, including Dell, HPE, and Cisco UCS.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS/object storage architectures, protocols, replication, RPO/RTO design, and backup/DR platforms such as Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, and Commvault.
• Understanding of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform core services.
• Awareness of Azure Stack HCI, AWS Outposts, Nutanix, migration methodologies, DRaaS, and multi-cloud cost governance.
• Familiarity with datacenter and colocation fundamentals, spine-leaf and SDN, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, and datacenter interconnect.
• Knowledge of microsegmentation, encryption, IAM/RBAC, and hosting frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and FedRAMP.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, CloudFormation, observability platforms, and ServiceNow ITSM/CMDB integration.
• Proficiency in TCO/ROI modeling across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid solutions.
• Current technical knowledge, manufacturer training, and relevant certifications.
• Vendor certifications are preferred.
