Clinical Simulation Content Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Develop realistic, AI-driven healthcare simulation experiences for nursing and allied health students.

• Create clinically precise and pedagogically sound simulation scenarios.

• Transform clinical competencies, learning objectives, and curriculum requirements into engaging experiences tailored to specific learner levels.

• Design content for AI-integrated, virtual, manikin-based, task trainer, and blended learning environments.

• Construct patient cases, learning objectives, clinical progression, decision points, learner guidance, and debriefing resources.

• Implement Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice in scenario design, facilitation, evaluation, and debriefing.

• Review, validate, and sustain simulation content to ensure clinical accuracy, realism, instructional effectiveness, and alignment with current standards.

• Assess AI-generated content and learner interactions to enhance scenario quality, consistency, and educational outcomes.

• Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, educators, and clinical experts on simulation experiences and product functionality.

• Assist in scenario testing, analyze feedback from educators and learners, and propose enhancements to content and user experience.

• Contribute to simulation libraries, educator resources, product documentation, and training materials.

• Remain updated on healthcare education, simulation standards, and emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree or higher in Nursing, Health Science Education, or a related clinical field.

• At least 7 years of experience in nursing and/or allied health clinical practice.

• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a nursing program, such as ADN, BSN, or equivalent, with direct responsibility for simulation-based instruction.

• Proven experience in designing, facilitating, and debriefing clinical simulations across various fidelity levels, from task trainers to full-scale manikin-based scenarios.

• Familiarity with the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSOBP) established by INACSL.

• Proven ability to apply HSSOBP in scenario design, prebriefing, facilitation, and debriefing.

• Strong understanding of clinical competency frameworks and simulation for formative skill development and summative evaluation across health science curricula.

• Experience in developing clinical scenarios, instructional content, curriculum, or related healthcare education materials.

• Experience in evaluating clinical content for accuracy and educational relevance.

• Proficient in using or demonstrated capability to effectively engage with AI-enabled tools and technologies.

• Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credential is preferred.

• Teaching experience in nursing and/or allied health education.

• Experience in developing healthcare curriculum, simulation content, or educational technology products.

• Familiarity with virtual, AI-enabled, and blended simulation environments.

• Experience in supporting certification or licensure exam preparation, such as NCLEX or NREMT.
