Clinical Psychologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct brief, evidence-based virtual individual and/or group counseling sessions for patients with low to moderate acuity.

• Provide outpatient behavioral health treatment through virtual platforms.

• Offer recommendations regarding significant diagnostics and treatment strategies.

• Deliver follow-up care for chronic patients experiencing acute disorders and complications.

• Administer psychiatric care for triage patients suffering from acute illnesses.

• Participate in staff meetings for case discussions, ongoing education, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.

• Suggest hospitalization and assess the fitness for duty of service members.

• Evaluate and complete Active-Duty Profiles, Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB), Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL), Mental Status Examinations (MSE), psychological autopsies, sanity boards, command consultations, and related administrative tasks.

• Prepare evaluation reports in compliance with applicable regulations.

• Communicate TRICARE requirements and benefits to TRICARE/DoD beneficiaries.

• Maintain convenience files and outpatient/inpatient medical records as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Draft case summaries and correspondence using approved electronic medical records.

• Create, monitor, and document comprehensive treatment plans.

• Utilize DSM and clinical findings to diagnose conditions and formulate treatment and rehabilitation plans.

• Examine patients, review laboratory and clinical findings, prescribe treatments, or refer patients to specialty clinics.

• Collaborate with physicians and other professional and military personnel.

• Oversee quality assurance within the designated area of responsibility.

• Identify patient treatment needs and facilitate safe therapeutic outcomes.

• Update patient charts within 72 business hours post-appointments; ensure high-visibility or higher-acuity patient documentation is updated by close of business.

• Adhere to SOP duty limitations, weapons access assessments, safety, and notification procedures.

• Comply with DHA provider scheduling requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited university or professional school.

• Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology.

• A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Psychologist.

• Proven experience in delivering evidence-based treatments via virtual platforms.

• Experienced in conducting bio-psychosocial evaluations.

• Skilled in developing behavioral health treatment plans.

• Familiarity with administering Active-Duty Profiles and Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) evaluations.

• Experience in making fitness for duty assessments and providing psychotherapy.

• Candidates with less than two years of experience using virtual platforms will also be considered.

• Hold a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice psychology, issued by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.

• Meet credentialing standards and secure and maintain relevant clinical privileges.

• Ability to obtain and uphold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.

• Must reside physically within the United States or its territories.

• Knowledge and experience in delivering treatment services via virtual platforms; experience with military populations is ideally preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
