Clinical Physician – Full-time, Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify the care gaps, risk signals, and clinical information that the assistant should highlight

• Convert clinical shorthand into clear, verifiable criteria

• Structure the content, sequence, and duration of pre-visit summaries

• Define clinical search parameters and criteria for comprehensive answers

• Evaluate and score AI-generated risk flags, differentials, and treatment strategies

• Clarify discrepancies between model outputs and physician reasoning

• Develop real-case evaluation sets and clinical standard-of-care rubrics

• Test product and design decisions against actual clinic workflows

• Contribute to benchmarks and technical reports, with opportunities for clinical co-authorship

• Collaborate closely with founders to take ownership of clinical direction in a full-time founding clinical position

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO, with board certification or eligibility

• Currently practicing or recently engaged in practice

• Specialization in internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, or a related field; experience in primary care and multi-specialty settings is particularly valued

• Daily proficiency in an EMR system such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athena, ModMed, or similar

• Capability to articulate the rationale behind clinical judgments

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and receiving direct feedback

• Genuine interest in the application of AI in medicine, including understanding its limitations

• Background in clinical informatics training or experience adjacent to a CMIO role is preferred

• Familiarity with quality measures and value-based care programs, such as HEDIS, MIPS, CPT Category II, and HCC coding, is advantageous

• Previous experience in advising or developing health tech products is a plus

• Research or publication experience is a desirable asset

• Experience in training residents or fellows is a beneficial addition
