Clinical Mental Health Associate Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to deliver treatment services in alignment with the Discovery Clinical Model.

• Ensure the safety of patients while implementing milieu interventions.

• Lead psychoeducational and process-focused therapy groups.

• Conduct clinical assessments and facilitate therapy sessions.

• Complete clinical documentation promptly at the time of service.

• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and their families/loved ones.

• Oversee admission assessments and manage the admission process.

• Engage in weekly treatment team meetings and share treatment objectives.

• Maintain a caseload of 5–6 patients in Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and 10–15 in Outpatient (OP) care.

• Conduct assigned therapy sessions, including those with family/support systems.

• Facilitate group sessions one to two times daily in RTC and 2–4 times daily in OP.

• Participate in meals and/or snacks at least once a week.

• Lead multi-family groups, family programs, and/or family weekends.

• Provide utilization reviews to insurance companies for authorization purposes.

• Respond to family inquiries via calls and emails within specified timeframes.

• Evaluate patients for suicidality and potential danger to themselves or others.

• Offer clinical support to fellow team members as required.

• Coordinate with the Utilization Review and Business Departments regarding authorization and payment processes.

• Initiate discharge planning upon the day of admission.

• Conduct discharge sessions and confirm discharge appointments.

• Liaise with referral sources and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.

• Facilitate transfers to higher levels of care when necessary.

• Engage in clinical outreach and lead program tours.

• Manage crises during sessions and within the milieu.

• Support milieu staff and collaborate with the treatment team to uphold clinical quality.

• Provide RTC on-call support at least once a month and respond to program calls within 20 minutes while on duty.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field is required.

• Completion of state requirements to perform therapeutic interventions is mandatory.

• Must operate under supervision and is not fully licensed.

• A current driver’s license in good standing is necessary.
