This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review de-identified ICU clinical notes and Electronic Health Record (EHR) data pertaining to patients diagnosed with Sepsis.
• Utilize clinical expertise to interpret and accurately annotate medical information.
• Standardize clinical terminology, concepts, and details within patient records.
• Recognize and classify pertinent clinical information in line with established annotation guidelines.
• Uphold a high standard of accuracy and consistency throughout all annotations.
• Engage in quality assurance and feedback processes to enhance annotation precision continuously.
• Valid and active US-credentialed Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• In-depth understanding of clinical terminology and medical documentation practices
• Capability to accurately and consistently interpret intricate clinical notes and EHR data
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to consistently apply structured guidelines
• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote setting
• Strong written communication abilities
• Availability to commit to approximately 25-40 hours each week
• Experience in critical care / ICU is preferred
• Familiarity with Sepsis patients or other acute-care conditions is preferred
• Background in reviewing or working with EHR/clinical documentation is preferred
• Prior experience in clinical research, medical data annotation, clinical informatics, healthcare AI, or similar projects is preferred
• Selected candidates must complete a mandatory training program prior to commencing project work
• Certification through PhysioNet is included in the required training program
