Clinical Coordinator – Facility

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the admissions team and facility to coordinate admissions.

• Arrange admission schedules, tours, assessments, and manage the intake process.

• Supervise patient intake, complete initial evaluations, handle paperwork, and forward information to the home office.

• Assist patients in navigating the pre-admission medical standard procedures as required.

• Provide initial diagnoses and relay them to the assigned therapist and registered dietitian.

• Offer support to patients and their support systems during the initial week and carry out check-in calls.

• Communicate with referring and outpatient treatment teams upon admission when releases are accessible.

• Conduct face-to-face pre-admission assessments and recommend appropriate levels of care in accordance with APA Guidelines and Discovery admissions criteria.

• Lead program tours.

• Facilitate group sessions and provide meal support.

• Assist in managing the milieu and overseeing patient activities and interactions.

• Educate patients regarding admission procedures and treatment requirements; review patient rights and expectations.

• Ensure confidentiality of outpatient programming and associated activities.

• Travel to other facilities for training or support as necessary.

• Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, or a health-related field.

• Preferred licensed or license-eligible in a related field.

• Three years of experience in mental health, counseling, or the eating disorders field is preferred.

• Must hold a license or associate license in California.

• Familiarity with DSM diagnostic criteria for adolescents and adults.

• Understanding of mental health, the recovery process, and the requirements for sustained recovery.

• Capability to manage crises and implement crisis interventions.

• Ability to present and manage cases in a knowledgeable and professional manner.

• Proficient in conducting individual, family, and group therapy.

• Competent in clear and efficient documentation.

• Skilled in assessing residents upon admission and formulating a treatment plan.
