This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Collaborate with the admissions department and facility to coordinate admissions.
β’ Assist patients and their support networks through on-site evaluations and admissions.
β’ Arrange admission times, tours, assessments, and manage the intake process.
β’ Supervise patient intake, conduct initial assessments, complete necessary paperwork, and forward information to the home office.
β’ Guide patients through standard pre-admission medical procedures as required.
β’ Provide preliminary diagnoses and relay them to the assigned therapists and registered dietitians.
β’ Offer support to patients and their support systems during the initial week and conduct follow-up calls.
β’ Reach out to referring and outpatient treatment team members upon admission when releases are secured.
β’ Perform in-person pre-admission assessments and recommend appropriate levels of care in accordance with APA Guidelines and Discovery admissions criteria.
β’ Conduct program tours.
β’ Facilitate group sessions and provide meal support.
β’ Assist in managing the milieu and oversee patient activities and interactions.
β’ Educate patients about the admission process and treatment; review patient rights and expectations.
β’ Ensure confidentiality of outpatient programming and related activities.
β’ Travel to other facilities for training or assistance as necessary.
β’ Support local programs as requested by leadership.
β’ Must hold a valid license or be an associate licensed professional in California.
β’ A Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, or a health-related field is preferred.
β’ Preference for candidates who are licensed or license-eligible in a related field.
β’ Ideally, three years of experience in mental health, counseling, or dealing with eating disorders.
β’ Familiarity with DSM diagnostic criteria for both adolescents and adults.
β’ Understanding of mental health, the recovery process, and the requirements for sustained recovery.
β’ Capability to manage crises and employ crisis intervention techniques.
β’ Ability to professionally present and manage cases to secure an appropriate length of stay.
β’ Proficient in conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
β’ Clear and effective documentation skills.
β’ Work remotely in a virtual environment.
β’ Full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 7 PM.
β’ Opportunity to participate in training sessions at other facilities.
