This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare and accurately submit dental claims on a daily basis, including necessary attachments, narratives, and documentation.
• Record insurance payments and make adjustments as required.
• Reconcile Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) with practice management systems and investigate any discrepancies.
• Manage insurance aging based on payer, age, and dollar value while ensuring timely filing windows are protected.
• Identify and address the root causes of recurring denials.
• Take full ownership of denials and appeals from start to finish, including analysis of reason codes, drafting written appeals, and managing escalations.
• Act as the primary contact for client offices and insurance payers.
• Conduct weekly client meetings and effectively communicate client status updates.
• Establish performance metrics, regularly report results, and proactively identify negative trends.
• Collaborate with product and technology teams to enhance Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) tools.
• Clarify dental revenue cycle challenges and provide recommendations to practice owners.
• Offer professional client-facing support and follow-up correspondence.
• Engage in quality assurance and respond positively to internal coaching feedback.
• Utilize AI and other technological tools while validating outputs against reliable sources.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in dental revenue cycle management, encompassing claim submission, payment posting, and insurance accounts receivable management.
• Proven ability to manage dental RCM tasks remotely without daily supervision.
• Extensive knowledge of dental insurance plans, CDT coding, and payer behaviors.
• Proficient in at least two dental practice management systems, such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon, or Curve.
• Availability for a complete 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.
• Exclusive commitment to Wisdom; no secondary billing book, outside clients, or obligations to another employer.
• Employment with a direct competitor or a similar RCM firm is not allowed.
• A private, quiet, and professional workspace with reliable internet and the ability to handle patient information confidentially.
• Capability to conduct client video calls.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow through effectively.
• A genuine commitment to patient confidentiality and data security.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the entire dental revenue cycle, including front-end processes, coding, claims, adjudication, posting, denials, appeals, accounts receivable, patient billing, contracts, credentialing, reporting, HIPAA, and data security.
• Proficiency in at least two dental practice management platforms.
• High score achieved in RCM assessments.
• Membership in AADOM, FAADOM designation, or other revenue cycle credentials would be advantageous.
• Experience in multi-office, group practice, or DSO environments would be a plus.
• Background in specialty billing for orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, or Medicaid would be beneficial.
• Experience in credentialing, fee schedules, or PPO contracts would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage metrics, resolve issues, communicate proactively, conduct client meetings, and effectively utilize technology.
