This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist in the preparation of legal pleadings, such as complaints, oppositions to motions for arbitration, and motions for settlement approval, for review by attorneys.
• Draft written discovery requests and responses under the guidance of supervising attorneys.
• Conduct legal research and compile case law summaries and memoranda.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations alongside supervising attorneys, primarily in a virtual setting, with occasional in-person appearances.
• Facilitate client communication, including providing case updates, preparing witnesses, and engaging in settlement discussions under attorney supervision.
• Assist with negotiations related to settlements and case strategy discussions.
• Organize and manage case files to ensure adherence to deadlines and maintain high-quality work product.
• Operate under the close supervision of licensed attorneys while acquiring practical experience in all phases of litigation.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• California Bar exam completed with results pending, or awaiting formal admission.
• Proven interest in employment law and/or class action litigation.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven.
• Strong skills in legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Dedication to client advocacy and professional development.
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
• Previous experience in employment law or class action litigation, including internships or clinic participation (preferred).
