Claims Team Manager – Casualty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, direct, and coordinate the claims activities of team(s)

• Regularly review claim files to ensure quality

• Track and monitor statistical metrics and behavioral indicators to assess the performance of Claims Representatives

• Provide coaching and counseling to employees regarding their performance

• Address customer service issues through effective communication and interaction

• Monitor and assess customer concerns, issues, and satisfaction levels, while anticipating customer needs

• Manage the recruitment and development of employees

• Identify and implement training and development needs for staff to facilitate succession planning

• Conduct meetings with unit management to convey goals and reinforce performance behaviors

• Stay updated on current industry developments and best practices

• Participate in committees and projects that support organizational goals and objectives

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Required: 4-6 years of experience in Casualty Claims handling with litigation experience

• Required: 1-3 years of supervisory experience

• Critical: Advanced organizational, planning, and delegation skills

• Necessary: Advanced oral and written communication skills

• Essential: Advanced interpersonal skills

• Required: Ability to effectively lead change

• Required: Valid Driver's License, acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles record, and minimum liability insurance issued by the State

• Preferred: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation from the Insurance Institute of America

• Occasionally required to travel for off-site business meetings or conferences
