This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Oversee various teams of examiners and technical personnel managing liability claims
• Track the workloads and individual claim activities of colleagues
• Offer training and technical/jurisdictional guidance on claims adjudication
• Maintain logs on team claims, including those that are complex or high-exposure
• Identify trends, issues, and problems, providing management with recommended actions
• Inform management of processes and suggestions for ongoing process enhancement
• Collaborate on projects with management
• Compile, review, and analyze management reports, taking appropriate action
• Conduct quality reviews of claims for audit, service contract, and quality compliance
• Serve as a second-level appeal reviewer for client and claimant matters, implementing final resolutions
• Review reserves on high-cost claims and those requiring examiner authority
• Monitor third-party, litigated, serious vocational rehabilitation, questionable, and sensitive claims
• Maintain client communication, foster professional relationships, make recommendations, and provide written summaries of claims
• Ensure that direct reports hold the necessary licenses in serviced jurisdictions
• Confirm that claims files are accurately coded and thoroughly documented
• Administer personnel policies and adhere to staffing and training standards
• Conduct interviews, hiring, develop performance development plans, and lead performance discussions
• Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to team members
• Support the organization's quality initiatives
• Carry out other assigned duties
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
• Required licenses as applicable
• Six (6) years of claims experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required
• Two (2) years of experience as a claims supervisor
• Comprehensive knowledge of claims management processes and procedures across multiple product lines
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
• Proficiency in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications
