Claims Representative, Auto

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +23 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and process auto and transportation claims at low to mid-levels

• Handle auto property damage and lower tier injury claims

• Assess damages, issue payments, and ensure proper documentation and accurate coding of claim files in accordance with the policy

• Create and uphold action plans to comply with state-required contract deadlines and facilitate timely and suitable resolution of files

• Identify and seek out subrogation opportunities

• Manage and dispose of salvage efficiently

• Communicate claim actions and processing updates with insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers as necessary

• Maintain professional relationships with clients

• Conduct coverage, liability, and damage assessments on all assigned claims

• Execute other tasks as assigned

• Support the organization's quality initiatives

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

• Obtain and maintain the State adjusting licenses as required for this role

• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements is advantageous

• Capability to review and evaluate Property Damage estimates, total loss assessments, and associated costs to effectively negotiate first and third-party claims

• Knowledge of total loss processing, State salvage forms, and title requirements is preferred

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including effective presentation abilities

• Proficiency in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications

• Strong analytical and interpretive skills

• Excellent organizational skills

• Good interpersonal skills

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment

• Capacity to meet or exceed Service Expectations

• Proficient in computer keyboarding

• Capable of hearing, vision, and verbal communication
