Claims Examiner – Workers Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and manage workers' compensation claims through action plans to ensure timely resolution.

• Investigate and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Negotiate claim settlements within the established authority limits.

• Communicate updates regarding claims and processing with claimants and clients.

• Report claims to the excess carrier.

• Respond professionally and promptly to requests for guidance.

• Adjudicate complex workers' compensation claims.

• Provide customer-facing solutions to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.

• At least 3 years of knowledge regarding California workers' compensation jurisdiction is required.

• SIP certification is required or must be obtained within one year of employment.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Strong judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Capability to meet deadlines consistently.

• Proficient in computer keyboarding.

• Ability to hear, see, and speak effectively.
