Senior Liability Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee mid to complex Auto and/or General Liability claims, which include bodily injury and property damage.

• Manage litigated claims and operate under delegated authority.

• Accept claims and verify policy coverage along with claim acknowledgment.

• Assess claim validity and compensability.

• Investigate and manage Auto and/or General Liability claims effectively.

• Set reserves and approve payments within the limits of reserving authority.

• Keep customers, claimants, and clients informed about claim status.

• Follow client and carrier guidelines diligently.

• Engage in claims reviews as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with team members on complex or challenging claims.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing General Liability claims, including those involving high exposure and/or litigation.

• At least two (2) years' experience in handling Auto Liability claims.

• A Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.

• A current Adjuster’s License in the state of operation is mandatory.

• A Multi-State license is preferred.

• Experience working with municipalities is advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Capacity to learn quickly and gain knowledge of claims practices.

• Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues.

• Strong computer skills and technical aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets.

• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational abilities.

• Capability to meet or surpass performance expectations.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
