Auto Claims Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct repair and total loss appraisals in line with company and industry standards.

• Re-evaluate vehicles during the repair process and authorize any necessary supplemental repairs and/or payments.

• Execute physical damage payments according to the company's standard operating procedures.

• Resolve total loss vehicles and manage salvage within specified timeframes.

• Negotiate auto claim losses with insured individuals, claimants, and vendors.

• Support subrogation and Special Investigations Unit (SIU) with cases that necessitate physical damage expertise.

• Maintain a robust level of training and acquire new auto repair methodologies.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

• Minimum of 3 years of material damage experience.

• I-CAR Certified, AIC, AINS, or licensed in multiple states, with ongoing maintenance of that license (for SACR consideration).

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Familiarity with estimating software is essential.

• Previous experience in field estimating or body shop is required.

• Prior automotive experience (repair/mechanical) is necessary.

• Demonstrated ability to settle total loss vehicles effectively.

• Strong skills in estimating and negotiation.

• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.

• High level of initiative and self-motivation.

• Professional demeanor and appearance.

• Proven capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Audit Score of 95% (required for ACS consideration) or 97% or higher (required for SACR consideration).

• Previous body shop or estimating experience is preferred.

• College education or equivalent experience is preferred.
