Claims Examiner - Workers Compensation, Licensing Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Analyze and manage Workers Compensation claims through action plans leading to timely resolutions.

• Investigate and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Negotiate claim settlements within the assigned authority.

• Maintain communication regarding claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.

• Report claims to the excess carrier.

• Professionally and promptly respond to requests for directions.

• Ensure continuous adjudication of claims in line with service expectations, industry best practices, and client service requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• 5 years of claims management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.

• WWCP or Oregon Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner Certification is necessary.

• Knowledge of jurisdiction: WA or OR.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Strong judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capability to manage work-related stress.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to meet deadlines.

• Proficient in computer keyboarding.

• Willingness to travel as required.

• Ability to hear, see, and speak.
